Mickayla Brown
Assistant Director
Hi! My name is Mickayla Brown, and I’m proud to be born and raised in South Carolina. I’m 29 years old and have a deep passion for education, missions, and serving families in meaningful ways. I completed my Discipleship Training School through YWAM at the University of the Nations in Myrtle Beach, SC, which helped shape my heart for both local and international service.
I’m currently a senior pursuing my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and K–12 Education, with a minor in Communication. My background in education is diverse, and my greatest joy is helping to equip the next generation to grow, learn, and thrive.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time outdoors, cooking from scratch, and volunteering—whether across the globe or right here at home. It’s truly an honor to serve as the Assistant Director here at Connect Kids. I know this will be an incredible journey, and I’m excited to partner with you in your child’s growth and development!

Martha Alhouse
Assistant Director
Hi y'all, my name is Martha Alhouse, and I originally came from a tiny town in northern NY on the Canadian border. I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education. I moved to Virginia after college in 1982 and started my career in childcare at KinderCare Learning Center. I eventually became an assistant director, then director within the company. The military moved my family to Lakehurst, NJ, where I worked at the base childcare center. I then moved back to Virginia and continued my childcare career.
I have two sons, Christopher, who lives in Hampton, VA, and Craig, who is stationed at Ft. Eustis in VA. My amazing, funny, beautiful granddaughters keep me on my toes and always put a smile on my face.
In 2023, I moved to Conway to be closer to family and found this amazing childcare center—Connect Kids! I am considered the grandma of the center, but I love that the girls keep me feeling young. It is a pleasure working for such great people, and I look forward to being part of your child's experience at this amazing center.
